Description: A small village in the land of fire is asking for help, to investigate the disappearance and death of the majority of there live stock. The majority of the animals just all together disappear, but a few have been found dead within there fences. Upon examining the carcasses it was found that several large Hole were the case of death. these wholes are about 6 inches in diameter and taper in making a cone shape roughly 6 inches deep. You are to investigate these strange occurrences, determine the cause and rectify the situation however you see best. this mission will be graded on success, intelligence, and ability to handle oneself without support.

Kojiro had been told that in order to rank up, he had to finish a mission effectively. Kojiro ran through the mission specs in his head as he made his way to the farm. Kojiro took note of all the farm's surroundings. Kojiro spoke with the family then went to take a look at the holes. They informed him only what the mission told him, for they had no more information to add. Interesting, 6 inches and a cone shape......Kojiro pondered on what could have made the holes. Animals? Was it ninjutsu? Kojiro decided to wait out until it got dark to see if he could catch what was making the animals disappear and if that same thing was the one that was so brazen as to come within the farm fences and attack.

It started slow and faint off in the distance, furious buzzing could be heard coming from the direction of the forest. The sound grew louder and the buzzing became more rapid. Across the village a loud cry of pain could be heard from one of the villages live stock pens. The animals cries grew faint at the same time the buzzing could be heard drawing back the way it had come, returning in the direction of the forest.

There. The moment of disruption in the surrounding area was what Kojiro was waiting for. Kojiro ran with great speed in the direction of the cry of pain. Arriving at the scene, Kojiro wasted no time. The sound could still be heard as it retreated into the forest. Preforming a few hand seals, a clone appeared beside Kojiro as he activated his Sharingan. Together they charged with kunai out, into the forest not wanting to lose the trail.

As the ninja and her clone entered the forest, the buzzing sound could be heard all around as if there was dozens of things making the noise all moving in different directions. Slowly the sound disappeared as if someone had just turned down the volume, until the forest was silent. Blood can be seen on the ground all over the place leading off in multiple directions. The stench of death was present in the air along with the scent of rotting flesh.

occ running after something you have no idea what it is, is a bad idea. You will lose rank points for that.

The smell was strong. Nothing like Kojiro has not smelt before but not on such a magnitude. Canceling his clone, Kojiro looked around and noticed blood on the ground everywhere. He decided on another plan of action for the one he just choose left him with nothing. He would return to the edge of the forest, where he heard the cry of the animal and set up some basic trip wire traps to see if it was an animal of person that was doing this.(Traps that activate once you step,cut, a wire) As another precaution, Kojiro waited until it was dark, and inside the farm transformed a clone of his into an animal. The transforming himself into the farmer, Kojiro would walk his "clone" out towards the fence and leave it there with some food. Returning, to the house Kojiro would climb to the roof and keep low and ready. Popping a soldier pill, Kojiro was ready this time and would wait out his opponent instead.

At a quarter to two in the morning, The sound could once again be heard from the forest. it started low but gained rapid intensity as the sound drew closer. There was a noticeable increase in the volume as it broke the treeline. The ninja's tripwires were not set off. As the disguised ninja sat waiting for the enemy to reveal it self, its clone hovered close to the fence line. The sound could now be heard in all directions as if the enemy was all around the village.

Then the bait was taken, a loud pufff could be heard coming from the fence line. the sound of the clone being destroyed and there floating above where the clone had been was an enormous flying insect. Its giant wings flapping rapidly keeping the animal in the air. It had a small head that sat atop his one sectioned body, with beady brown disk for eyes and a gaping mouth hungry for food. Above his eyes were two large stubby feelers. His body a oval shaped section of brown and black there were four arms/legs which twitch menacingly, and attached to the bottom of the body was one huge stinger easily as large as an adult humans head. The creature was a giant flesh eating bee, its total size was larger then an adult human and he wasnt alone.

Kojiro waited all night. He was able to stay awake and not be tired though he would pay for it in the future. Sometime around two in the morning, the same sound echoed. Alerted, Kojiro tensed up, peering into the forest at best he could while keeping his clone in his sight as well. There was that "poof" that he was waiting for. Focusing on where his clone was, Kojiro spotted what was making the noise. It was a giant sort of insect. Kojiro kept calm though this was not something he met everyday, and made a plan. Attaching some wire to a couple kunai, Kojiro was prepared to go on the offensive. He knew that the sound that was now coming form all around him could not be made by one alone.

Taking a look at his surroundings first, Kojiro threw the kunai and wires towards the insect. Some kunai held explosive tags wrapped around the handle. If that was not enough, Kojiro preformed some hand seals and whispered

"Ryuuka no Jutsu (Dragon Fire Technique)."

Flames would travel down the wires and hit the insect. Kojiro believed that it was either an experiment gone wrong, or these forests were breeding some strange monsters. Either way the fire would either kill it, or cause it's friends to become concerned enough to reveal themselves.

Spoiler:

The Kunai flew forward with the wires attached wrapping around the large bee. Two large explosions appeared from the kunai with explosive tags. The bee let out a high pitched scream of pain, before being light on fire. It took several seconds before the bee collapsed in a smoking heap apparently dead. Cooked by the shinobi's attack. Alerted by there fallen brethren death cry, one could hear the closing in of the two other bee's comeing to investigate.

His plan worked. Pulling out more kunai and wire, Kojiro was prepared to repeat the process with the other giant insects that showed up. Kojiro heard more coming....According to the amount of sound he assumed there was at least two more. He only had enough wire to repeat the attack on one. Smiling, Kojiro guessed that he would have to find some other way to hurt the others if there was more than one coming to check on the dead body of its brethren.

Activating his Sharingan, Kojiro saw two more appear, both checking on the dead body of their sibling. Not wasting any time, Kojiro sent another barrage towards one of the bees. Assuming it would have the same affect on this one as the last, Kojiro preformed handseals to send a fireball at the remaining bee.

Spoiler:

The fireball raced towards the nearest bee and collided with its center mass, though not powerful enough to immediately kill the beast it screamed in pain. Angered by this sudden sensation the injured bee and his partner rushed towards the young shinobi with there stingers ready.

it could be heard even over the scream of the injured insect that the buzzing that filled the area was beginning to die away in the direction of the forest. If the shinobi survived the twin bee's assault would he investigate further?

Kojiro watched as his fireball was not enough. The two bees charged him. Forming hand seals, Kojiro created mist clones. The mist clones would confuse the bees enough for the real Kojiro to run at both bees and slap on as many explosive tags as possible onto them. Since they would be in the air, Kojiro would run off the building and while they were confused by the clones, he would execute his plan.

Upon entering the air, Kojiro would hold two kunai in his hand and put chakra into his feet so once he lands, he will not slide keeping the illusion.

The bees stopped there advanced and weaved back and forth in a confused manner, unsure what to attack first. Before they could decide what to do the young shinobi jumped off of the roof of the house besides the bee's. Racing towards the bee's he stabbed them with the two kunai he had in his hands, Kojiro then managed to place several explosive tags on the two before retreating to a safer distance. Within seconds the bees blew apart in to chunks which came raining down around the shinobi. Now the area was quiet once again.

Kojiro watched as the two bees fell. He had defeated three of these bees though he remembered hearing the buzz die, slowly as if it was slowly re-entering the forest. Approaching the edge of the forest, Kojiro peered in and listened in trying to hear or see anything that could act as a indicator on what he should do. Creating another clone and having it repeat the animal transformation, Kojiro strapped its underbelly with explosive tags. He would activate them only after the rest of the bees go for the clone.

kojiro had the clone walk front. After getting a distance, kojiro would follow, but from the trees not from the ground. Not only keeping the clone in site, Kojiro would also keep his surroundings in check.

As the young shinobi's clone slowly entered the forest followed by the shinobi him self in the tree tops above. The faint sound of buzzing could be heard off to the left, right and straight ahead, as the shinobi peered through the tree branches he could see the three nests. all the bees were currently inside there were none around but that could change if the shinobi's presence became known.

Being as quiet as possible, Kojiro linked all the wire he had left with as many kunai as he could. Attaching explosive tags to the wires, Kojiro started hanging kunai in the branches where he would be able to grab them quickly. Seeing a clearing that would be easily visible by all three nests, the clone started to baa for it was int he shape of a shape. The noise of its baa drew many bees toward it. Preforming a summoning, Kojiro called out Jin, one of his summons.

"Kojiro why am I here?"

Jin looked around and took in the situation.

"I understand we shall wait."

The bees would hopefully hear the baa-ing of the "sheep" and move towards it. From straight ahead, to the left, and to the right, they would come. Once within the clearing, Kojiro would preform a jutsu (mist clone) creating them to appear all around, confusing the bees. Using the clones as a distraction, Kojiro would use the pre-made kunai-wire-explsoive tags, and throw them in a triangle formation. Kojiro being the point throwing them down the sides.

Jin would then preform Moguragakure no Jutsu (Mole Hiding Technique) and after jumping off the tree. Reappearing along the other side(the open part of the triangle) Jin would bite and use clones to delay the bees if they try to escape. Grabbing onto the wires, Kojiro would then say "Ryuuka no Jutsu [Dragon Fire Technique]" The flames would ignite the tags causing them to explode hitting the bees. Now down the middle Kojiro would breath in and say

[color=red]"Dai Endan!'[//color]

Sending a giant fireball down the middle, Kojiro would have hopefully created a controlled heating environment.

The bees rushed out to investigate the sounds coming from the sheep. As they did the ninja sprung his trap. Fire erupted from the tress burning the gathered bee in to ashes, but the heat was strong. when the attack was over the trees around the epicenter of the attack were burning. the 4 closest trees to the attack were the ones burning in a square shape around the attack lay the trees upon the corners. the distance between them was 30 feet. If the ninja didnt stop the fire from spreading it would likely result in the loss of the forest and the near by village.

Kojiro smiled at the fiery death of the bees. He laughed a little but was attracted to the sight of all the flames. They did not stop but continued to spread. Cursing himself, Jin soon appeared beside him and spoke

"Kojiro, you have to stop the flames....."

Kojiro looked a bit frantic, the first time in a while for he thought long and hard on what he could do to stop the flames. Then he got it. Summoning his scythe from the seal on his wrist. Running towards the nearest flame, Kojiro swiped at the flames and extinguished them. He had always knew that he could absorb and nullify other fire jutsu though had never tried it on his own.

Repeating this plan, Kojiro placed chakra into his feet to get to the further areas faster. Jin also helped by grabbing the smaller things that were on fire and burying them by using Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu (Double Suicide Decapitation Technique). Soon the forest would be exactly as it was before. Well not exactly, the charred remains of the bees and some trees could still be seen.
