Akemi Chinatsu (Finished)

Name: Chinatsu, Akemi (Translation; Bright and Beautiful Thousand Summer)

Appearance: Akemi has bright orange hair and deep blue eyes which are very striking colours to be together. Her skin is pale and all her limbs are slight and look as if they could snap upon contact. Despite this though, Akemi is a Taijutsu specialist, and thus she has a lot of concealed strength. She stands at the height of 4'8" and quite commonly referred to as 'shortie' by her older siblings. She probably will not grow much more either because her mother is only 5'00" and Akemi has been told so many times that she takes after her mother.

She usually wears a loose black jumpsuit that has spaghetti straps which tie at the back of her neck. The shorts of the jumpsuit reach her mid-thigh, and around her waist she has a startling orange hip bag which contains all the basic ninja tools. On her feet she wears ankle high orange sandals with the toes cut away, and on her hands she wears black and orange fingerless gloves. All the way up to her elbow she has black arm guards, and on her shins she has black shin guards too.

Personality: At best, she is up-beat, hyperactive, sensitive, determined, co-operative and kind. At worst, however, (and this is most of the time) Akemi is sarcastic, rude, easily irritated and downright hard to be around. She seems to have next to no consideration for anyone's feelings apart from her own, and this is the way she will probably remain until she gets her ass handed to her. She has gone through life being ahead of the rest, a prodigy if you will, and because of this thinks no-one else is able to beat her or tell her what to do. She can't even bring herself to respect those higher up than her for she feels they have done nothing to earn her respect.

Her temper is unbelieveably short, and will snap if anyone so much as looks at her the wrong way. In battle, her attitude is practically the same as when she is around her home or the village. She will slag off the opponent to try and intimidate them or get their guard down before attacking.

Akemi has a lot to learn in the ninja world before she can advance through the ranks. If she doesn't start repecting her elders or those better than her, then things will just continue to get worse and worse on a downward spiral.

History:

~The beginning
Akemi was born into a very wealthy family. The Chinatsu family were well-known for their business ventures throughout the shinobi nations, owning businesses far and wide. Their main household in Suna was extremely large and magnificent to look at, with white marble pillars to complete the majestic look from the outside. Due to being the youngest child, Akemi gained a lot of attention at first from everyone else in the family. As time passed, however, her mother and father just treated her as if she was invisible. The term 'children should be seen and not heard' seemed to be very fitting for the family.

Her older brothers, Haru and Hayate, suffered the same silent treatment, so they were the only company for her. Sometimes though, no matter how hard she tried, Akemi just couldn't get her parents to notice her.

~Childhood into the Academy
When she was a younger girl of around five, Akemi decided that the only way to get her parents to notice her was by doing outrageous things. She would often hang from the window ledges or go into the guard towers that Suna had surrounding the border. Every time she was brought home from these little antics, her mother and father just got the nanny to do the scolding for them and then they would go out to a cocktail party. Akemi was about ready to give up on being noticed, but that was when she started to watch all the shinobi of the village training down on the training grounds. She had been on the way to another guard tower, but got sucked in by a spar between two Jounin. Everything they did just made her realise that this was the way to gain her parents' attention. Since her family was full of civilians, she would become the first ninja, and that would have to count for something.

So, when she turned seven years of age, Akemi entered the academy. She was naturally talented in terms of intelligence, stealth, and practically everything else they learnt. The only thing she struggled with was making friends. She stuck her nose up at everyone who tried to socialize with her because she felt no-one was good enough to be around her. So, she was left out of any sort of game and social gathering that happened, but she tried not to let it get to her. This was where her main personality developed.

Akemi soon graduated ahead of everyone else at the age of ten because she was the prodigy. Instead of impressing the other students, they only hated her more for being better than them. She became a Genin of Suna, and was desperate to get her parents to notice her now.

~Genin years
Despite not wanting the fact that no-one liked her to actually get to her, Akemi still felt lonely a lot. Her brothers had moved out of the house and were off travelling. She was left alone. Because of this, she really tried to excell in her shinobi training since she had a lot of spare time on her hands. Whereas most other Genin would be hanging around with their friends, she would be on the training fields smashing rocks. She sometimes stayed out on the training field because she knew her parents wouldn't care where she was.

After a couple of years of vigorous training, Akemi finally became happy with where she was at in terms of skill. If she ranks up to become a Chuunin, (which she aims to do) she could really start to improve herself. There is still that constant nagging feeling of knowing even if she did manage to rank up to Kage level, no-one would be proud of her.

Appearance: Ishizu is an electric yellow leopard kitten that Akemi was given to take care of a year ago, and ever since has been extremely attached to her. Not only is the little feline the only friend Akemi has, Ishizu is the only one that sees the other side of the girl's personality. Ishizu is the kitten of a ninja-trained leopard, and because of this knows all the basic jutsu (thanks to Akemi's training) and some basic Genjutsu.

Description: Magen • Narakumi no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The ninja will use the serpent hand seal to cause a circle of leaves to spin and envelop the target and then fall away. Once cast the world will appear normal to the target until they see the illusion.
